What is the Service Provider Network?

Amazon has identified a group of trusted third parties who can use their expertise to help you speed up your exports. Amazon's Service Provider Network (SPN) can help you with every step of selling internationally — from taking great pictures to transporting your products to Amazon fulfilment centres, and much more.

Register and list your products

Register for Amazon Global Selling in Seller Central by providing your business details and uploading the required documents. You can then offer your products on one or all 18 international marketplaces.

Image editing service providers

Image editing service providers can help you increase the number of views your products get with high-quality images that comply with Amazon guidelines.

Cataloguing and branded content providers

To make your product offerings more visible, cataloguing and branded content providers support you with A+ content, detailed product descriptions and features that can result in better conversions.

Decide where and what you want to sell

To start an export business from Germany, you need to be clear about which products you want to sell internationally and which countries you want to export to. You will then need to take care of the required documents and licences.

Compliance and tax providers

Before listing your products, you must ensure that you and your company are in compliance with the rules, regulations and laws of the intended market. Compliance service providers offer certification, inspection and quality assurance services. Tax service providers help you register your business with the tax authorities and file a tax return based on the income you earn on Amazon. International shipping and delivery

As a global seller on Amazon, you need to both store your products and deliver them to your customers. You can either do this yourself (Merchant Fulfilled Network) or let Amazon take care of it by opting for Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA).

International shipping service providers

To make it easier to ship to FBA fulfilment centres or directly to customers, international shipping service providers help you through the process — from regulatory requirements to customs clearance.

International returns providers

If you have opted for FBA, international returns service providers will help you when customers return MFN items. They can accept returns from customers, consolidate and return them to you, forward them to another buyer or offer other alternatives.

Manage and grow your export business

You can use Amazon's tools and programmes at various stages of your expansion to help grow and improve your business, such as when dealing with export documentation, logistics, returns and more.

FAQs

What types of third-party services can I find through the Amazon Service Provider Network (SPN) in Germany?
The Amazon Service Provider Network (SPN) offers a full range of professional services that help sellers at every stage of their trade cycle. From getting started to expanding internationally, you will find vetted experts specifically qualified for the German and European markets.

Key service types available include:

1. Compliance and taxes: Assistance with regulatory compliance, product safety inspection and tax registrations.
2. Logistics and fulfilment: Help with international storage, dispatching to Amazon fulfilment centres (FBA) and processing returns.
3. Marketing and listing: Experts in A+ Content, product photography and advertising optimisation to increase visibility.
4. IP Accelerator: Service providers that help protect your brand and register trademark rights.
How can working with an SPN provider speed up my amazon.de export journey?
Working with an Amazon SPN provider significantly accelerates your export journey as their expert knowledge helps to avoid bureaucratic hurdles and logistical bottlenecks. These service providers know the specific requirements of the German market and help you avoid errors that could otherwise lead to delays.

Such collaboration speeds up your launch thanks to:

1. Faster customs clearance: Experts take care of import regulations and documentation so that goods are not held at customs.
2. Instant market compliance: Ensuring that products and packaging (e.g. LUCID register) comply with German laws from the get-go.
3. Localisation: Professional translation and adaptation of product descriptions to effectively address German customers and increase conversion.
Can existing Amazon sellers use SPN services?
The Amazon Service Provider Network isn't just intended for new sellers, it is also an essential tool for existing sellers who want to scale their business. Established retailers often use these services to increase operational efficiency, expand into new EU marketplaces and strengthen their brand presence.

Existing sellers typically use the network for:

1. Advertising optimisation: Managing complex PPC campaigns to reduce ACoS and increase turnover.
2. Global expansion: Supporting the legal and logistical demands of entering new markets such as France, Italy and Spain.
3. Brand Protection: Using the IP Accelerator programme to combat counterfeiting and to protect intellectual property.
Can SPN service providers assist Amazon DE sellers with VAT registration and tax compliance?
Yes, the SPN has specialised tax service providers to help sellers with Amazon VAT registration and ongoing tax compliance in Germany. Since German tax law is complex, consulting with an expert is often the safest way to avoid account suspension or financial penalties.

Such service providers perform the following tasks:

1. VAT registration: Applying for a German tax number and VAT ID from the responsible tax office.
2. Ongoing filings: Submitting monthly or quarterly preliminary VAT returns based on your Amazon sales reports.
3. OSS procedure: Advising and applying for the one-stop shop (OSS) procedure for cross-border sales within the EU.
