Local Inbounding into the UK and EU and Remote Fulfilment from the UK and EU

Amazon offers two solutions to help you seamlessly sell across borders between the EU and the UK — Remote Fulfilment and Local Inbounding.

Local Inbounding into the UK and EU

Remote Fulfilment

Local Inbounding into the UK and EU means that your inventory is shipped both to your primary (e.g. EU) and to your secondary (e.g. UK) FBA networks. This allows you to store inventory locally in both regions, benefit from local fulfilment fees and provide the fastest possible delivery to your customers on EU and UK marketplaces. This process is made really easy with our complete solutions for customs clearance, transportation and indirect representation.
With Remote Fulfilment, you can sell across the EU-UK customs border without having to store inventory in the country of the target marketplace or register for VAT there. Simply send your FBA inventory to your local fulfilment centres, then Amazon will take care of collecting and remitting VAT on your behalf when handling your cross-border orders.

FAQ:

How can I estimate income and expenditure for cross-border sales?
Enter product details and shipping costs in the FBA Revenue Calculator. The tool provides a cost comparison between standard FBA, Remote Fulfilment between the UK and the EU and Pan-European FBA, accounting for differences in fees and cross-border shipping.
What regulations do I have to follow?
Before adding products, make sure they comply with product safety and compliance guidelines, environmental regulations and Amazon's policies. This includes providing the necessary compliance documentation.
With Local Inbounding into UK and EU, how do I manage cross-border brokerage and transportation?
Amazon's customs clearance and shipping services provide an all-in-one solution for customs clearance, indirect representation and transportation services required for cross-border shipments. This allows you to easily expand your reach to millions of new customers across the border.
How can I ship products from China?
With Amazon Global Logistics, you can send ocean freight from China directly to the Amazon fulfilment network in the US, UK and EU.
Which countries can I sell in using Remote Fulfilment?
You can sell products on routes between the UK and Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Sweden.
How do returns work with Remote Fulfilment?
Remote Fulfilment customer returns are handled in the same way as local FBA returns. If a customer returns an imported item, we'll send it back to the source fulfilment centre in the EU/UK, subject to return policies and fees.
How does the Build International Listings tool help with cross-border selling?
With the Build International Listings tool, you can synchronise listings prices and create listings in a primary store and transfer them to one or more target stores. This makes it easy to replicate your listings to additional Amazon stores and manage them in one marketplace.
How does the European Expansion Accelerator tool support the Remote Fulfilment programme?
The European Expansion Accelerator (EEA) tool is an automated end-to-end expansion solution that enrols your products into fulfilment programmes, translates and creates your offers, and sets pricing and shipping rate settings in the stores you have selected.
For expansion between stores in the EU and UK and vice versa, EEA automatically enrols your account in the Remote Fulfilment programme between the EU and the UK, activates export settings, identifies your products that are eligible for the programme and creates detail pages for these items to make them purchasable.
