Who can sell on Handmade?
The Handmade store is available for artisans to sell their handcrafted products to millions of Amazon customers all over the world. Amazon uses an application process to add new artisans to the Handmade category to ensure customers are able to buy with confidence.
How do the fees work?
Joining Handmade, creating your shop, and listing products is free. When you make a sale, Handmade will deduct a 12% referral fee.

During registration, you will register with a Professional selling plan that provides you with Handmade-specific tools and support to grow your business. While the Professional selling plan costs €39.00 per month for an Amazon Seller, this monthly fee is waived for Handmade artisans.
How do I create a Handmade shop?
The first thing you need to do is set up a seller account on Amazon. The best way to get started is to visit the Selling on Amazon page. After completing registration, you can submit an application to sell on Amazon Handmade. You'll be asked to provide accurate information about your products and business processes to ensure you meet all requirements for selling in the Handmade store. Once your application is approved, resources will be available to help you create your first handmade listing and manage your business processes.
What categories are available on Handmade?
Handmade is open to artisans who offer items in the following categories: Accessories, Artwork, Baby, Beauty & Personal Care, Clothing, Shoes & Bags, Home, Outdoor & Home Care, Jewellery & Watches, Kitchen & Dining, Pet Supplies, Sporting Goods, Stationery & Party Supplies and Toys & Games. If you don’t see your category listed, this means we do not allow the sale of those items in the Handmade store. Popular categories not currently available include Digital or Downloadable Products, Food & Grocery items, and Electronics. You may consider registering to sell your products in another Amazon store, or check back in the future to see if the category becomes available on Handmade.
What if I already sell in the Amazon online store?
No problem After you have completed your handmade application and been approved for sale, you can also list your products on Handmade.
Do I have to reapply if I already sell with Handmade in another country?
If you already sell with Handmade on Amazon.de, you can also sell on all five European stores (Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.es) without reapplying. Log in to Seller Central and choose your desired country from the dropdown menu on the upper right corner of your screen. In addition, you can register to sell in our three North American stores (Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.com.mx). Please note, you will be responsible for complying with all rules and regulations for each country in which you do business.
I have already applied. What's the status of my application?
You can check your application status with your email and confirmation code.
What happens if I have created an Individual seller account?
If you have created an Individual seller account, you will need to switch to the Amazon Professional selling plan after approval. This allows you to take advantage of all the features provided to Amazon sellers to increase their sales. To switch from an Individual selling plan to a Professional selling plan:
  1. go to Settings and select Seller Account Info.
  2. Click on the Seller Account Information page in the Your Programmes section, and click on Manage.
  3. In the Selling on Amazon line, in the You are signed up for section, click on Upgrade.
  4. Read the terms of use on the next page, and then click on Proceed to Upgrade. You will then return to Your Programmes and a message will appear telling you that your account is now being upgraded.
What happens if I have created a Professional seller account and I get charged the monthly fee?
If you haven't yet applied to sell on Handmade, simply click here to get started. After you have been approved to sell on Handmade, you can request a refund from the Handmade Support team by clicking here or by going to “Get Support” and selecting “Sell on Handmade.”
